Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Vector Technologies ("we") handles personal information in the Vector Technical Evaluations platform (the "Platform"), which hiring teams use to schedule technical evaluations of engineering candidates. The Platform is currently available by invitation only.

Information we handle

• Account information: the email address of invited users and the company they belong to. Sign-in is provided by our authentication provider; we never see or store passwords.
• Candidate information entered by our customers: a candidate's name and email address, the role and seniority level being evaluated, and the scheduled time.
• Booking details: who booked an evaluation, when, the booker's time zone, and the history of status changes (for example, scheduled or cancelled).

Google user data

The Platform connects to a Google Calendar account owned by Vector Technologies, used by our evaluators. With that account's permission, the Platform:

• reads free/busy times, so it only offers evaluation times when the evaluator is free;
• creates and deletes evaluation events, with a Google Meet link, and sends calendar invitations to the person who booked the evaluation and to the candidate.

The Platform does not access the Google accounts or calendars of customers or candidates. Google user data is used only to provide these scheduling features. It is not sold, not used for advertising, not shared except as needed to provide the Platform, and not used to develop, improve or train generalized artificial intelligence or machine learning models. Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

How we use information

We use the information above only to operate the Platform: signing users in, showing each company its own evaluations, scheduling and cancelling evaluations, and sending the related calendar invitations.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information. Each company sees only its own data. We rely on service providers to run the Platform, currently our database and authentication provider and Google (for calendar features), who process data on our behalf.

Security and retention

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections, access is restricted to signed-in members of the owning company, and credentials are kept out of our code. We keep information for as long as needed to provide the Platform to our customers, or as required by law.

We will update this policy as the Platform develops and change the date above when we do.
